I love trees—always have. From the mulberries that surrounded my childhood home to the stoic tulip poplars of the Blue Ridge Mountains, trees have shaped my life. I have climbed them, walked among them, and now I carve them.

Working with salvaged, local wood, I’m drawn to its warmth, beauty, and malleability. Wood tells a story—of time, renewal, and resilience. It’s the perfect complement to my carving style, which is both loose and expressive, and grounded in themes of love, resilience, and compassion.

In the forest, my heart sings. In the silent language of trees, I listen. And through my work, nature’s songs may be heard.
